DID YOU KNOW

From Dr. John Lee, MD in The Truth About Osteoporosis: "Years of clinical experience giving women progesterone showed me that using a natural progesterone cream will actively increase bone mass and density and can REVERSE osteoporosis. These patients consistently show as much as a 29 percent increase in bone mineral density in three years or less of progesterone therapy. After treating hundreds of patients with osteoporosis over a period of 15 years, I found that those women with the lowest bone densities experienced the greatest relative improvement, and those who had good bone density to begin with, maintained their strong bones." (See www.johnleemd.com)

Besides natural progesterone, weight-bearing exercise, and plant-based healthy eating, getting at least 10 minutes of real sunshine on a daily basis is important for preventing and reversing osteoporosis. The natural vitamin D from the sun is needed for the body to absorb calcium. Call the Heartland Helpline 1-888-772-2345 for Dr. John Lee, MD's complete protocol for osteoporosis, and to order our fast-absorbing, non-clogging Heartland Natural Progesterone Cream.

While getting enough calcium through a healthy, plant-based diet is important, an even bigger concern is calcium LOSS. Did you know that high dairy and meat eating countries have the highest levels of osteoporosis? High protein consumption actually causes calcium depletion as the body uses your calcium reserves in order to neutralize the acid effects of animal proteins in the body! Calcium deficiency symptoms to watch out for include arm and leg muscle spasms, back and leg cramps, poor growth, tooth decay, and depression.

Don't wait to get your bone density measured. Three out of four women have not been screened for bone mineral density. And because of poor diet and lack of exercise, osteoporosis is affecting women as young as their 20's and 30's. Seventy-one percent of women with osteoporosis don't even know they have it, and 86 percent with the disease are not being treated. Natural Progesterone is inexpensive, completely natural and has no negative side effects (the positive effects may include an increase in libido and a decrease in depression, PMS, headaches, breast tenderness and prostate inflammation). You have nothing to lose (except maybe some excess weight) by trying natural progesterone, but without it, you may already be losing bone mass. Establish your baseline of bone mineral density with a test, and order Heartland Natural Progesterone Cream today! Call 1-888-772-2345, and ask for a free audio tape of Dr. John Lee, MD with your order.

DEAR HEARTLAND,

I am enclosing my BMD (bone mineral density) tests that were taken 15 months apart with the same computer/operator. Thirty-five years ago I had a complete hysterectomy. I have taken no hormones. But I have consistently taken daily multi-vitamin/mineral supplements, plus lots of additional calcium, vitamin C and other supplements. I was very surprised to discover after falling and shattering my wrist that I had severe osteoporosis.

Immediately I started on progesterone cream at the advice of my chiropractor, Dr. (name withheld upon request). I have noticed that I don't hurt like I did previously, and I feel much better all around. I am very pleased with the results that Heartland Natural Progesterone Cream have given me to boost my bone density. I hope that other women will be able to be helped by sharing my tests. Thank you for helping me.

D.M., Michigan

D.M.'s Joint Exam Results on January 23, 2001:
The bone density was analyzed at L1-L4 with a total density of .886 g/cm2 and a T-score of -1.5. This is a 1.9% INCREASE in comparison to the previous study from October of 1999. The density in her left hip gives a total value of .689 g/cm2 with a T-score of -2.1 and a femoral neck density of .504 g/cm2 with a T-score of -3.1. This is a 12.5% INCREASE in comparison to 1999 and would indicate that despite the fact that she is osteoporotic at the femoral neck and has osteopenia elsewhere, she is stable to improved without other medications.

HOT NEWS

EXERCISE vs. OSTEOPOROSIS - a better choice than "Sedentary Death Syndrome"

May 28, 2001 - Researchers say that 60 percent of all Americans are currently at risk for Sedentary Death Syndrome, or "SeDS," a term developed by more than 200 of the nation's leading physiologists to diagnose the growing epidemic of physical inactivity and its relationship to chronic, preventable diseases.

Osteoporosis is one of thirty-five listed conditions related to inactivity. Frank Booth, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Physiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia, is spearheading the effort to get federal lawmakers, the medical community and the public to recognize SeDS as a serious health threat. They estimate that approximately 2.5 million Americans will die prematurely in the next 10 years because of SeDS - a number greater than all alcohol, guns, motor vehicles, illicit drug use and sexual behavior related deaths combined.

Dr. John Lee, MD concurs that lack of exercise is one of the primary causes of osteoporosis. He states that weight-bearing exercise is the only thing besides progesterone found to actually INCREASE bone density in older women. He recommends a minimum of 20 minutes of weight-bearing exercise 3 to 4 times per week.
